It’s almost time!!! There’s one week left before the wedding day and the excitement is rising. By now, all the guests should be confirmed, payments all made, and dresses are picked up. All the last minute items have been bought and now you’re going over all the details in your mind. The week of the wedding is the time to start getting clear before the big day.
One of the ways to do that is by treating yourself to a date night! Head to your favorite restaurant, winery, or spot that you enjoy. Or better yet, book yourself a massage and relax! You can even make it a couple’s massage too.
Be sure to pack for the honeymoon if you haven’t already done so. Right after we got married, we rushed back home to pack because we forgot to pack before our wedding! We had so many things on our mind that packing for the honeymoon slipped right through the cracks. Avoid what we did, remember to pack ahead of time!
Having the apartment or home clean so that you don’t have to worry about it when you get back from your honeymoon is one the best things you can do for yourself. A clean space will help avoid unnecessary stress and prevent items from getting lost in a clutter when it’s time to unpack.
Touch base with your wedding vendors one last time the week before your wedding date. One of the most common fears we hear from brides is vendors not showing up. Getting in touch with vendors the week of alleviates that fear and helps you keep track of any missed details before the big day arrives!
We can not stress this one enough: Get plenty of rest! We learned this the hard way, as we did not get much sleep the night before our wedding. The level of excitement, being so close to the rest of your life, makes it very easy to ignore the need to sleep. So, make sure you are getting proper sleep the entire week building up to your wedding. A few nights of sleep deprivation can make it tough to get through the whole day without it affecting mood and energy.
