Just in the past year, our couples have planned proposals from as far as Canada, Maryland and Florida! We are amazed at the commitment and the love that these couples have for one another. This proposal story is an amazing one to add to the list!
Alex reached out to us planning and preparing months in advance from four states away to an area he has never been to before! And we have to say, we were incredibly impressed with his idea.
Alex and his girlfriend (now fiance!) were planning to visit D.C. Alex had never been to nation’s capital before and knew he wanted to propose to Lindsey at a memorable spot! He went through patiently looking over maps and ideas we sent him. After looking at a few options, the Jefferson Memorial was the perfect spot!
There are two monuments that you can see from the location. This made it an amazing spot to propose, especially at night! Right after sunset on a weekday made it an even more intimate and quiet location to propose.
We always start to get the jitters the day of a proposal, as if WE are the one’s getting proposed too! 😀 We set up roses to mark the spot, and placed out light stands to capture the Washington Monument lit up across the water.
We strategically hid ourselves out of plain sight, almost like we were ninjas trying to make ourselves blend in as much as possible. That’s always the fun part!
As soon as Alex and Lindsey walked up the steps towards the flowers we could see Lindsey’s face light up! You could tell how much they both loved each other and how sweet they are together. From picking the proposal spot while hundreds of miles away, to finding the perfect ring and making dinner reservations, Alex pulled off the most memorable proposal at the Jefferson Memorial!
